Clark Russell Entrepreneurship and Technology Ecosystem

CREATE develops southwest Atlanta entrepreneurs in the AgriFood Technology industry beginning with a 12-week pre-accelerator. The program works with entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to develop an idea, define the value proposition, validate customer demand and build a prototype.

Continued coaching and support is available to everyone who completes the pre-accelerator. This includes further business planning support, product development, networking, pitching investors or pivoting from the original concept.

CREATE’s partners include Clark Atlanta University, the Russell Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RCIE), Truly Living Well, and the United Negro College Fund.  The program is funded through the U.S. Economic Development Administration i6 Challenge Program.

Resources available to entrepreneurs through CREATE include:

  • Truly Living Well farm sites as living laboratories to test products
  • 3D printing lab (PLA and Metal printers, 3D scanner)
  • A national network of business and community to draw on for research, networking and potential investment.

CREATE COHORT 2 DEMO DAY

Join Demo Day for CREATE’s second cohort on Saturday, April 21st from 1pm to 4pm in the Innovation Lab at Clark Atlanta University.

CREATE, the Clark Russell Entrepreneurship and Technology Ecosystem, is an AgriFood Tech accelerator focused on serving aspiring entrepreneurs and southwest Atlanta. The program is a partnership between Clark Atlanta University and the Russell Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

The cohort is completing it’s first phase of the program after 12 weeks, which focuses on:

• Defining the problem their product/serve solves
• Validating the target market(s)
• Prototyping
• Developing a business model

The business concepts in CREATE Cohort 2 include:

  1. Hyperbiotic digestive aid
  2. Sous vide pre-prepared meals
  3. BasilMe low sugar beverage
  4. Rainbow Aquaponics
  5. Dirt Battery: microbio fuel cell activity for kids

We’ll also get updates from some of the graduates from CREATE Cohort 1 featuring West End Gems Indoor Hydroponic Hops Farm.
